The three-storey "Nalmes" building is located in the center of the city of Maykop and consists of 2 blocks. The first block of the chamber music theater was built as the House of Culture "Friendship" in 1953 in the style of Stalinist neoclassicism. In 1987, a second block was added to the theater building - a three-storey building of the concert hall "Nalmes" for a thousand seats in the style of Soviet constructivism. The concert hall was named in honor of the folk dance ensemble of the Republic of Adygea "Nalmes" (translates as "diamond").
The stages of reconstruction affected both blocks of the building. The goal was to replace individual outdated roof structures and roofing material, update all windows, stained glass windows and doors, preserve and restore all existing historical elements, add decor and rustication on the first floor of the building, recreate a historical background facade color to bring contrast with the white decor, as well as create night architectural lighting.
As a reference to the name of the ensemble and the theme of the diamond, decorative facade plaster "Bayramix Gold" was used based on natural marble chips with a pearlescent sheen, which gave the facade a special shine and play in the light of the southern sun.
